Dear Oak Orchard Families,

October always seems like such a busy month. We hope you were able to spend some time outside on this beautiful weekend! There are several community events coming up for Halloween. We included a couple below.

We will be celebrating Halloween in school on Friday, Oct. 31st. Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes, just please no masks or weapons. We recommend leaving extra props at home as these sometimes accidentally get left behind at school and we would hate for your child to not have a complete costume for Halloween evening. We will be having a Halloween Parade through the school so students and staff can see each other's costumes. Students will also be given a pumpkin to decorate and bring home. If your family does not celebrate Halloween then your child is welcome to just wear their favorite outfit. There is an alternative Halloween celebration also occurring Friday night. Please see the flyer below.

Our PK and 2nd graders celebrated their 100 Mighty Mustang Tickets with their Glow Dance Party on Friday. The students had an amazing time. We look forward to our next celebration when grades reach 200 tickets. Kindergarten and 1st grade are well on their way. Stay tuned for our next celebration activity!

Many local businesses and organizations will be participating in Medina's Annual Beggar's Night. This is a traditional trick-or-treating event for families featuring costume-focused activities for the community.

The YMCA has a new director. We welcome Andrew Houseman! The Y is sponsoring several family friendly events in the next couple of weeks. See the flyers for more information.
