Principal's Message

Dear Oak Orchard Families,

We hosted our first Mighty Mustang Building Celebration to day with a Movie and PJ day. Students enjoyed wearing their comfy PJ's and watching a special movie in the AUD. So far our Mighty Mustangs have earned 1.525 might mustang tickets! This is incredible! e challenged them today to see if they can earn 5,000 total tickets by the end of the year. We know they can do it! We will have celebrations each semester with a special final celebration at the end of the year.

On Tuesday, Nov. 25th, we will have a special guest - Author, Kevin Kurtz, joining us for a fun and informational day about science books and science writing. We look forward to having him join us for this special event.

*Save the Date*
We will be hosting a Winter Family Fun Night on Friday, Dec. 12th from 4:30-6:00PM. Clear your calendars because this is an event you will not want to miss! See the flyer below for more details about this exciting event.

We will be holding our 2 Lockdown Drills the week of Dec. 1st, after break. Teachers will be prepping students regarding appropriate behavior and the importance of these drills. Please discuss these with your child as well. It is important for students to stay quiet during our Lockdown drills.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Calling all Volunteers!

In an effort to simplify the process for volunteering, the district has created a Google Form you can fill out. Once you complete the form, our secretaries will clear you in our Raptor System. A letter will then be sent, once your application has been approved, indicating you are now cleared to volunteer. For anyone that has already been cleared for this school year, you do not need to complete this process.
