Principal's Message

Dear Oak Orchard Families,

We have a wonderful, music-filled week ahead as we transition into May! Here is what’s happening at our school:

Teacher Appreciation Week: Celebrating Our Entire Team
This week (May 4–8) is Teacher Appreciation Week. At Oak Orchard, we believe that every staff member plays a vital role in our students' education and growth. Whether they are in the classroom, the office, the cafeteria, or the hallways, all of our staff are teachers. We would love to shower our team with notes of gratitude. Please take a moment to fill out the form below to recognize any staff member who has made a difference for your child this year.
(Please complete by Monday, May 4th).

2nd Grade Choral Concert
Our 2nd-grade students have been working incredibly hard on their music, and we are so excited to hear them perform!
  • Date: Thursday, May 7
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Location: Oak Orchard Auditorium
We look forward to seeing our 2nd-grade families there for a night of beautiful music.

Celebrating Our April "Super Mighty Mustangs"
Finally, I would like to recognize our Super Mighty Mustangs for the month of April. These students were chosen for consistently demonstrating our Mustang Mission each and every day: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Honest, and Be Kind.
Please join me in congratulating these students for being such outstanding role models in our school community!

News and Notes

Career Week #3

Students had the exciting opportunity to dive into the world of agriculture and food service. Hans from Hans Bakery shared his joy of cooking bread, Mrs. Fischer shared her passion for raising bees and making honey, and volunteers helped run a station where students got to churn butter in a jar with a marble. Students rotated through each station getting to learn first hand about different aspects of agriculture and food service. Student then got to eat butter and honey on a slice of bread! Thank you to Miss Laroussi for coordinating this event.
